Physical Description

If you've ever seen a teenage mutant ninja turtle, that's roughly how this dude looks. He has a medium build for a turtle, dark green skin with a slightly darker-toned shell, the under shell is a pale yellow. He lacks five digits, only having three fingers and toes on each hand and foot. A short, stubby tail can be seen from the bottom of his shell rim, giving his constantly angry expressions and body language a cute touch. His eyes are often aglow with pure white, no pupils ever clearly visible.

Common Attire

He has spiked bracelets and anklelets used for offensive blocking. Off-yellow brace tape is around his wrists, hands, ankles and feet. A leather belt is always strapped around his shell, kneepads and elbow pads sporting skull decals are held to his body by the same leather straps. Around his neck is a spiked collar, and around his head and eyes is a tattered black headband, completing his ninja-look.

Personality

Morte is extremely aggressive and quick to anger. He’s a ruthless fighter with rock hard determination. He prefers a life alone as opposed to one in the company of others. Combat is his one true calling in life and trains hard by the day to achieve unspeakable levels of fighting skills. He thinks before acting but will sometimes rush headlong into a conflict without thinking…though he often learns from these mistakes. He has a strong taste for revenge and makes sure everyone is aware of it.

Brief History

Somewhat of a 'reject' turtle, Morte had a similar mutation to the classical 4, but in another part of Japan. He was trained and taught by humans, not other mutant, after being found lurking around the waterways of inner Japan. An organization known as Takeshi Corp., one of the leading companies in biological engineering, were those responsible for finding Morte and pumping him full of genetic augmentations that were incredibly unstable.

Morte began training at once when Takeshi Corp. received a ‘request’ from their underground associate, Shredder, to produce the ultimate weapon against the turtles. He ordered the corporation to use the dubbed project "Shadowshell" and manipulate him as a counter-weapon against the turtle's reign in America...especially after the failed Slash project. Morte, however, was very reluctant to any contact with humans...and was difficult to control. But after several freak experiments on the near feral mutant, Morte was contained and brainwashed to perform and fulfill one task: destroy the mutant ninja turtles.

Trained by the same mutant who conducted the augmentations, an animal similar to Splinter, Morte proved an extremely formidable opponent to the turtles. Just the same as the case of the Slash project, the turtles managed to persuade Morte off his hostility and onto a neutral ally stance with the American mutants. He now lurks on his own...sometimes with the turtles, seeking his own revenge on Takeshi Corp. and Shredder.
