| Physical Description |
|
A rather tall bat, and covered in sickly vibrant, green fur. Slates of foreign, black furred flesh break the intense hue. Bright purple hair is short with some hint of bangs and usually remains in a mess. Ears which are elongated even for bat standards are tattered, bitten and scarred all along their edges and weight down somewhat from their piercings. Two sharp fangs can sometimes be seen beneath his lips...really only visible if he grins or opens his mouth. Red-orange eyes have white iris’ and black pupils, sitting sunken into his pronounced face and ringed with black. A long tail is spaded with a thick triangle, further emphasizing his hellish features. Fingers remain as membranes like a typical bat, though the pale webbing appears sewn to the long digits with the same thick threat as the rest of his body. His thumb claws and toe claws are curved and usually painted purple, matching the color of his hair.

| Common Attire |
|
Sleeveless shirts, if he wears a shirt at all. Skin-comfy pants are a must, often of leather or dark jean with prominent threads (ie white, red, etc). A cracked-leather collar with a single O ring is always at his neck as well as various other bracelets at his wrists and tail of similar fashion. Feet are often bound with belts and straps – a sort of boot brace.

| Personality |
|
Simply: Patchwork is sarcastic, rude, careless, ill-tempered and lazy. He often shows no sign of interest in anything or anyone, and ignoring problems is his specialty. He has a habit to snap for no real reason, but he can also be approachable... sort of. Short tempered and likely going into a fit of violence if anyone forces their views or decisions against his own. Signs of compassion or care are VERY seldom seen in him, but it has happened. He holds harsh hatred to humans and humanoids, this meaning anything resembling more a man than a beast. Aggression is almost always shown towards those under that category. In regards of his abilities, he exaggerates them mentally and verbally, not to say that he can’t hold his own ground.

| Brief History |
A turbulent past scars the mangled horror known only as Patchwork.
His real name long since forgotten and abandoned, the zombie hails from a history of heavy enslavement. Original master who’d introduced him into the trade, still as a mortal youth, still claims responsibility for Patchwork’s current state. Vulpine known as Orillis was the apparent giver of the vampiric gift, though due to the fox’s sadism, the mortal bat soon found himself reconstructed. Why or how the bat was mangled beyond imaginable repair is lost; Patchwork himself unable to remember the circumstances of his reanimated body. But the results harboured a cruel hybrid of vampirism and solanum.
The methods of death left the bat to degenerate into a blood thirsty, cannibalistic, sadomasochistic monster – hardly bat anymore. Eventually control was established over the cravings, but desire for all things torturous remained.
Despite suffering the apparent amnesia of his life prior to death, he can confirm the era was late 1800’s, dating him as a fairly young vampire and a fairly old zombie. The term zombie he finds very offensive and defends the intelligent consciousness that Orillis’ gift thankfully granted him. Among solanum and vampirism, he is a carrier of a vast array of other diseases and viruses though. He has really only ever spread the Dark Gift, however.
Directly after his time with his enslaver, the bat experienced eras of slave trade, witnessing its abolishment in area after area, but still ending up behind cage bars at the whim of fellow vampires or curious mortals. His last ‘keeper’ was unfortunately eluded by the hybrid undead, resulting in Patchwork’s apparent freedom. He has evaded recapture for fifty years, he claims.
Since freedom, Patchwork still returns to the gallows of the slave trade – feeding off the rich and pathetic bloodlines of both servants and masters alike. Evasion of recapture is not as prominent as he feels the threat has waned and no fool would dare try, or want, to maintain such a creature as a 'pet' or worse.
